I just made it to pikes square and I was wondering if there are any quests to get some good fire skills around? Ive been surviving off flare and lava font.

oh and im level 6 is this under leveled?

I've not played my E/R for quite awhile, so I can't remember where the quests are to get:

Immolate - Spell (10/1/5)
Target foe is struck for 5-41 fire damage and is set on fire for 1-3 seconds.

Phoenix - Spell (15/3/25)
A fiery phoenix rises at your location, striking nearby foes for 7-91 fire damage, and flies out to your target, exploding on impact. This explosion strikes for an additional 15-75 fire damage.

Try Elementalist Aziure who's located next to Ambassador Zain. Her quests will take you into the Neighbourhood of Shalev who also has a quest for you. After that, do the first 2 missions (Great Northern Wall and Fort Ranik) this will put you into the Frontier Gate. At this point make sure you've talked to Warmaster Tydus and gotten the quest to go to Serenity Temple (Eldritch Sextant). Leave the Frontier Gate with that quest selected, it will take you by Cynn who has a skill quest for you. There is also a skill quest available at Serenity Temple for Kendrick Redstaff.
Also Guild Wiki has a lot of information that you will find useful. Including Skill lists, quest lists and mission information.

You can buy these skills at Grendich Courthouse, which is a bit of a walk northwest of Piken Square.
